Sea Fend for boats under construction
For this type of installation, Sea Fend is developed in close collaboration with the shipyard’s technical office. Sharing the 3D model of the hull and the boat’s key technical specifications allows the load capacities to be precisely defined and the integration to be engineered in full coherence with the existing or in-development structure. The load capacity is then built into the hull mold, and the boat is left ready to accommodate the Sea Fend system.
A dedicated recess is created inside the hull, designed to house all the system’s components: electrical circuit, inflation tubes, and airbags.
This solution allows the system to be fully integrated into the boat’s structure without interfering with interior volumes or the design layout.
The external side is closed by a panel made from the same material as the hull, perfectly flush with the topsides, making the system completely undetectable.
Upon activation, the external panel opens via an electromagnetic release system, allowing the airbags to deploy and inflate within minutes.
This approach preserves the boat’s design identity while introducing an innovative level of safety.
Beyond the technical side, this integration method also represents a strategic advantage for shipyards: the ability to offer, right from the design stage, a patented solution that raises the safety standard and gives the product a tangible edge in the market.
